ILP- "Design"- EDMODO

For my final ILP, I decided to do another design aspect. I feel most comfortable designing content to help my future students learn. For this ILP, I made an Edmodo for an 8th grade American Literature class. This week's class is focused on Edgar Allan Poe, specifically his piece "The Raven". Check it out! Group Code: 3wyc88

  1. I also made an Edmodo, doing a design aspect is more comfortable to me too. I Love the fact that you used a different type of post.

    1. We've been using design aspects for our entire education career so I'm so comfortable with them now! Thank you for the feedback!

  2. Hannah, great job! I also made an Edmodo, but for my first ILP! It was extremely useful for many things and I know it has a future for all of our classrooms. You had a lot of different tools and resources in your group. It looks like your students have a lot to work on. You can also add assignments (similar to Blackboard) so your students can upload directly to Edmodo and you can grade their papers within the group! You could add that to the extra credit assignment you have posted. I also found an article on Edmodo's support page that is about other ways you can use Edmodo. (https://support.edmodo.com/hc/en-us/articles/205008054--How-I-Use-Edmodo-Brilliant-Ideas-from-Teachers) I like idea #9 a lot for your classroom. You could collaborate with other English teachers in your school, and create one large Edmodo group with all of the classes. The students would be reading the same book and could hear thoughts and ideas from many other people, not just the same familiar faces in their own class!

    1. Thank you for that link to the support page! I could really use some help with adding different aspects to my future Edmodo accounts! Collaborating with other English teachers would be so helpful for collecting different activities/thoughts about readings and class activities! Thank you for the feedback!
