For my first Independent Learning Project, I created a Prezi. I have always used Powerpoint as way to present ideas and projects, so I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and use an application that I had not used before. My topic for this project is an Orientation Leader conference that I attended in March 2016. This workshop helped me identify and strengthen my leadership skills, which I want to help others do through teaching. This project contains information on what SROW is, the schedule of events and how what to look forward for in the future. Hope you enjoy!

Hannah, this is beautiful! I love the way you stepped out of your comfort zone and into new, uncharted territory. Honestly, this presentation helped me a lot because I've been wanting to look into becoming an OL :)
ReplyDeleteOne thing that may have helped this be a little more helpful is some more information. As much as this EXPLAINS what you did at the conference, maybe giving some detailed descriptions/background would be helpful to this presentation. I believe that, given more time, you could make this Prezi amazing and really give me the information I need to become an OL because this really did spark my interest once again.

I found those to be better than using a basic powerpoint but i found a presentation designer that's better than prezi and it is https://www.powtoon.com/blog/5-best-prezi-alternatives/ you can pretty much do the same thing as a prezi but you can make it more animated..hope you enjoy

DeleteGreat job, Hannah! I love that you used personal experience as a teaching tool. I felt like I was there with you! I totally agree with what Bethany said above. I would add a little more information about what an orientation leader actually does, how you get that position, and how much it means to you! This will make the conference that you attended seem more meaningful to someone who is learning about it from the outside. But, great work!!
